Christine and Nick know firsthand the uncertainty of leaving an infant in child care...
...and theirs had an added level of anxiety.
Their second child, Wava, spent her first few weeks of life in the NICU.
“It was hard for me to leave her at eight weeks old,” Christine shared. “Leaving her was hard, but the team in Room 2 [at ECA’s Learning Center] made it as easy as possible. I knew my little girl was in the best hands possible.”
Christine was familiar with ECA Learning Centers before she had children. When it was time to use child care, she and Nick visited both family homes and other child care centers, but they settled on ECA, “knowing son Finn would be in the best care ….” She knew one of the teachers in the infant classroom, who “has been nothing but wonderful to our kids….”
With both parents working, ECA’s hours of operation have been a huge plus.” I can drop off early and if we need to pick up late, that is always an option,” she said. “The teachers we have had … have been the most wonderful. They treat our children like their own.”
The family communication tool that ECA adopted in recent years is another plus for parents. “The app is one of our favorite things so we feel connected to our kids and what they are doing throughout the day,” explained Christine. “I also knew that ECA invested in their employees via professional development. I think this is important in any profession.”
